One of the Left’s favorite arguments for gun control is the possibility of someone being accidentally killed by a firearm. Liberals immediately try to capitalize on every news story about a young child who was killed by taking their parent’s gun and playing with it. However, that situation only tells one side of the argument. Accidental guns deaths are relatively low in number and do not merit government intervention in our constitutional freedoms.

A Liberal Wild West Fantasy
The Left wants to paint the firearm debate as a complicated academic exercise with no right answers and no clear solutions. In reality, firearms can be logically and statistically shown to deter crime and protect life. The issue is only as complicated as you want it to be. For instance, those on the Left do not believe that law-abiding citizens can be trusted to handle firearms responsibly. They favor government regulation over individual choice. Gun control advocates paint a picture of private gun ownership leading to an all-out warzone in the streets. However, history has shown that an armed citizenry does not lead to the vigilante justice of the Wild West.

Ammunition In The Fight For Guns
Gun control is the bread-and-butter issue of many liberal politicians and activists. After all, liberals love to capitalize on tragedy to promote their agenda, and gun control is the best way for them to do that. Every time a crime is committed with a firearm, Washington politicians line up for miles to clamor for more laws, more regulations, and more restrictions. Unfortunately for them, conservatives have the best political weapon of all on their side. We have the U.S. Constitution. Our Founding Fathers understood that the right to purchase, own, and carry a firearm is a fundamental right with dramatic implications for the lives of citizens like you and me.
